Buddhism Wedding Ceremony

This morning, April 13, 2017 (Mar 17, lunar calendar), clergy men of Hoang Phap Pagoda organize the Buddhism wedding ceremony for the couple; groom Chau Hai Dang (religious name: Tinh Dang) and bride Thai Duong Phuong Linh (religious name: Lien Linh).

This important day is the meaningful start for couples in their marriage life with the witness, blessings and sharing of principles and experiences for a Home-Sweet-Home from the wise and virtue monks.

After marital rites as offering incense to Buddha, appealing from the couple’s families, exchanging wedding rings…, in the warm and solemn air of a Buddhism wedding, Reverend Thich Tam Hue delivers Dharma talk to the couple as the gift for their marital life. To build up a Home-Sweet-Home, husband and wife should always love, respect, listen to, take care of and share things to each other. Besides, people should be ready to be tolerant forgiving partner's faults. At the same time, each person should keep, fulfill relevant duties and responsibilities as per Buddha’s teaching in Sigalovada Sutra: 

* Husband should be gentle, polite to his wife, entrust his wife to house works and relevant decisions, supply his wife with clothes and jewelries, be punctual and faithful.

* Wife should be kind and courteous to family members, getting up earlier and sleep later than other family members, be resourceful, know how to save money, preserve property and use them wisely, avoid wasting expenses, take care of and bring up children.

If we know how to apply Buddha's teachings into our family life, then we can enjoy the sustained happiness in our whole life.

At the end of the ceremony, the Reverend sends the Buddhism marriage certificate and wedding gift to the just-married couple.
