Buddhism Wedding Ceremony

Today Nov 05, 2017, Hoang Phap Sangha holds Buddhism wedding ceremony to young couples: - Groom Nguyen Thanh Vo Sang and bride Dao Vo Ngoc Tram - Groom Do Dang Khoa and bride Nguyen Hong Loc - Groom Huynh Cong Nhan and bride Huynh Anh Thien Vy.

Buddhism wedding has become a Vietnam traditional culture for a long time. It helps practitioners promote fundamentals of wisdom and morality, be helpful people in the community and family. The ceremony is a coordination of traditional culture, national ethics and Buddhism spirit, a beauty of Buddhism marriage.

For Buddhist, having Buddhism wedding at the pagoda with the witness of Triratna is such a sacred honor and happiness. Under the witness of Triratna and relatives/families, spouses vow to live happily together in whole life and follow Buddha's teachings.

After rituals of Buddhism wedding as offering incense to Buddha, appealing from couples’ families, handing wedding rings… Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, on behalf of the Sangha, gives advices and instructions of Buddhism marriage to young couples.

The key for happy marriage is harmonization. When wife in harmony with her husband, the family will be happy. When parents in harmony with children, the youths will be ready to listen to parents’ teachings and the moral of the family will be preserved. Buddha teaches us Kàya sàmaggi (six good terms for harmony) that brings peace and harmonization to community/team. Applying that spirit into marriage will brings long-lasting happiness to practitioners’ families.
