Celebration of granting Triratna - chanting Medicine Buddha Sutra at Hoa Phuc Pagoda - Hanoi

In this great ceremony, Hoa Phuc Pagoda respectfully waited and welcomed Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice Chairman of the Board of Management - Head of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Abbot of Bang A Pagoda together with Venerables, monks and nuns of Retreat Schools: Vo Lang Family Home, Lai Yen Family Home; Thay Pagoda Family Home; Dai Tu An Middle School of Buddhist Studies along with Buddhist monks in the Board of Management - Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quoc Oai District getting together as witnesses of the ceremony.
In addition, the Pagoda also welcomed the presence of the authority leaders of the local and the neighboring areas, 4,000 people, Buddhists, benefactors throughout Hanoi City.
In the hope of relying on full religious capacity of the monks on the occasion of the retreat season, of national security and prosperity, everlasting Buddhism, thriving pagodas, Venerable Thich Tam Hoa - Abbot of Hoa Phuc Pagoda together with monks and Buddhists prayed for the presence of the monks who would deliver the chanting time of 'Medicine Buddha Sutra' in the main hall. A solemn and peaceful atmosphere, with each prayer, series of bell sound, wooden bell sound and unanimous praying joined forces to create energy of peace and contentment, so Dharma light became more and more evident.
At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem had a few words to share about the establishment process of Hoa Phuc Pagoda 10 years ago. When the Most Venerable and Elder Venerable Thuong Tri Quang as Deputy Master of the Council of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha were predestined to be here, under Nun Abbot Dam Luyen, a small campus, but they had seen it developing. Gradually, this small pagoda was visited and transmitted the teachings of the Buddha by the respectable monks. As the right time came, the nun invited Reverend Tam Hoa to visit the pagoda and transmit the doctrines of the Buddha, guiding Buddhist followers to cultivate themselves. The Venerable said that, 'This is such a predestined view to meet a good-hearted person.' Reverend Thich Tam Hoa is a monk from Hoang Phap Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City) left his house to become a monk following Venerable Thich Chan Tinh - Department of Dharma Propagation, Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City). After heading North to practice Buddhism, the Reverend relied on Venerable Thich Tien Dat - Permanent member of Central Management Board Council, Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Aff Hanfairs, Deputy Head doubling as Chief Secretary ooi Buddhist Association, Rector Board Consultant of Middle School of Buddhist Studies - to practice Buddhism and cultivate himself. Though Venerable Tien Dat and Venerable Thich Chan Tinh are living in two different regions, both of them follow the Pure Land method, borrowing the world as a place to achieve holy results in the Pure Land in the future.
Reverend Tam Hoa soon absorbed the mind of preaching for the sake of spiritual benefits from these two virtuous teachers and always received their guidelines, instructions in the path of self-cultivation and propagation of the righteous teachings. Therefore, Hoa Phuc Pagoda has gradually shifted in architecture, cultural manners and attitude of Vietnamese Buddhism and North Delta, but also a pagoda where monks have been trained to form a young talented generation and where cultivation retreats have been organized for every age and class in the society. It is worth exclaiming the Reverend's merit and the Governmental authorities' approval and support, joined force of the local people and Buddhist followers near and far. Thanks to the predestined blessings of the Three Refuges, thanks to joint hearts and minds, little by little, a beautiful pagoda was constructed with full architecture and solemn items so that Buddhist followers can possibly gather to practice Buddhism, making a contribution to creating a tourist attraction community among the local tourist attractions, a pagoda glorifying Xu Doai and Hanoi Buddhism.
By the by, the Venerable also expressed praise to the merits of the Buddhist monks and nuns at Vo Lang Family Home, Lai Yen Family Home; Thay Pagoda Family Home; Dai Tu An Middle School of Buddhist Studies along with Buddhist monks in the Board of Management - Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quoc Oai District, who with mercy and compassion for living creatures and Linh Son deep affection always in support of Reverend Tam Hoa to help him complete the Buddhist works.
The Venerable also did not forget to acknowledge the help of the authorities and appreciate blessings of the benefactors who had voluntarily donated with their whole heart to the construction and restoration of such a spiritual place as well as a place of interest at the local for thousands of Buddhist followers to gather and practice the religion, aiming to gain peace and leisure for an escape into the Pure Land of Amitabha.
After the Most Venerable monk's sharing, Venerable Thich Tam Hoa expressed his gratitude and invited respectable monks to the Family home so that everybody could make offerings to the monks on the occasion of retreat season Buddhist calendar: 2561 - Solar Calendar: 2017.
