Ceremony of settling Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Hoa Phuc Pagoda, Hanoi

In the morning of Oct 18th 2016 (September 18th, Monkey year) the ashrams of the Pure Land from Hoang Phuc pagoda (Thach Hoa - Quoc Oai district - City. Hanoi) was solemnly held a ceremony of settling Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Hoa Phuc Pagoda, Hanoi on the occasion of celebration of Gwan Yin Bodhisattva’s Leaving Home (lunar Sep.19th).

Proven in celebration were Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council; Chief of Hoang Phap TW, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Church in Hanoi, Temple abbot Degree A . Venerable Thich Tam Hoa – Abbot of Hoa Phuc Pagoda with monks and more than 1000 Buddhists from all places attending.

Comeback to Hoa Phuc Pagoda, Venerable Master An Su has felt admiration from religious teachings as well as lay Buddhists feelings for him here. Therefore, before the ritual, the Venerable  visited the lecture hall to declare the Dharma theme "The vowing of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and The Six Paramitas". He recalled about the virtues of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva – Bodhisattva, who has an affinity serving thousands of Buddhas. With ear-base practice, listening to  cries of sentient beings forsalvation manifested in Svaha realms. He looked at the suffering of living beings from loving eyes of gentle mother for Her children. She listens to  cries, spread Her arms to embrace, extend compassion to protect children. The Abbot also kindly reminded the  Buddhists - children of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara - need to listen to Her heart, hear the mother’s advice  to return to her side. By practicing and teaching of mother, avoid all evil, finish every good thing, keep a clean body and mind in order to create the best human in Svaha. Be luggages to turn in a peaceful life for the Pure Land realm of Amitabha Buddha.

After the Dharma teaching, the mass honored  him to start the ritual. The title "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" by thousands of devotees suddenly rang out the region as the passionate plea inspiration toward the gentle mother, appearing out of place to protect us, so that we follow her mother's vow to bring enlightenment to ourselves, to others.

 Admiring Her contemplate body, we suddenly felt our hearts peaceful as though the child who had separated from the mother returned to wash away the dust full of filth, greed, attachment of suffering. The tower of Avalokitesvara, Hoa Phuc Pagoda, is situated in the middle of a large lake; far away is the majestic mountains of the land of origin Doai. In a pond reflected the moon, gentle mother statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who manifested on Saddharmapundarika platform with charming mountain cloud landscape, has contributed to more confidence, the sanctity of Buddhists in front of His statue.

The day of settling of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara is also the day of the retreat, “ Peace and Happiness day “monthly recurring at Phuc Hoa Pagoda. The date that the mass come back together practicing Buddhist, single-mindedly recite "Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" to create a boundless source of blessings and pray at the same dedication inspired gentle mother sufferings and rescue Buddhists central fellow are peace. The mass prayed for the storms have calmed down, gone smoothly, and there are no painful sowing realms Svaha sentient beings.
