Ceremony of Trinity Refuge and Amirabha Buddha’s Birth at Hoa Phuc Pagoda, Ha Noi

The spring ended and the winter is coming. Northern sky these days is slowly transforming itself in the chilly atmosphere. When the winter appears, the Buddhists’s heart and especially the cultivators practice the Pure Land sects feel joyfully to celebrate thecommemorative day of Amirabha Buddha – a noble father and the head of Western Pure Land.
In the morning of December 13th, 2015 (November 3rd, Goat Year) with the harmony and warmth atmosphere of the commemorative day, Hoa Phuc pagoda’s state of Purity ( Truc Hoa village, Hoa Thach commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi city) was formally hold the ceremony of taking refuge to Trinity and the festival on the commemorative day of Amirabha Buddha.
Attending the ceremony were Senior Venerable Thich Dong Thanh, Buddhist Dr., Hoang Phap’s chief, principle of Buddhist Intermediate school at Binh Dinh province. Senior Venerable Thich Nguyen Phap, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hoa - Abbot of Hoa Phuc pagoda with Monks and Nuns of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Hoa Phuc pagoda, all monasteries from inside and outside Hanoi and more than 3,000 Buddhists in many different regions.
In the morning, when each bells and Prajna drums resounded, thousands of Buddhists bowed their hands as a lotus in solid mind to recite the name of the Amitabha Buddha. Respectfully the organizers invited Senior VenerableThich Dong Thanh, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hoa, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Phong to witness the Triratna Refuge - Five Precepts for more than 600 Buddhists registed.
Before operating the sacred and meaningful ceremony, Senior Venerable Thich Dong Thanh mercifully gave for thousands of Buddhists the Dharma talk entitled "The Meaning of the Triratna Refuge - Five Precepts and priciples known for the Buddhists at home". Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hoa applied the ritual tranferring the Triratna Refuges - Five Precepts for Buddhists.
In the afternoon, Buddhists were attending the chanting course of "Amitabha" under the guidance of chief of the mandala.
In 6p.m, Monks and Nuns came to the rostrum to prove the night festival lighting flower garlands and coloured lanterns on the commemorative day of Amirabha Buddha. Thousands of candles were lit in turn with the joyfulness of all the participants. A holy moment, invaluable predestination displayed when they were here to receive the light of merciful wisdom, understanding and love. The viel of ignorance will recede by happiness and sacred moment. Under sparkling candles, Buddhists put their mind in tranquil to listen to the 48 vows of Amirabha Buddha and respectfully vow that all their life will be followed his virtues to practice, kept their faith in Dharma and Pure Land sects to find the way of enlightenment as well as their rebirth in the Pure Land in future.
Under the blessing of Buddhas in ten directions, the witness of Monks and Nuns with thousands of Buddhists’s respect and assistance, the ceremony was complete perfectly.
