Ceremony praying for Safety at the Beginning of the Lunar Year at Dong Cao Pagoda – Thanh Hoa.

Vietnamese people often think that a year starting with a month, a month with a day, from which the first day to the end of January everyone went to temple praying for peaceful things, peaceful society.
In that atmosphere, Dong Cao Pagoda, Nga Yen Commune, Nga Son District was solemnly celebrated the ceremony praying for peace on the 10th February, 2019 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year).
At 9:00 a.m., after series of echo bell and drum sound chanting with the pray to Buddha welcoming the Venerable Seniors who reached the lecture hall to witness the great ceremony praying for safety of the Pig Year. The ceremony’s proof was present of Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Dong Cao Pagoda Abbot; Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hieu, Can Mon Pagoda ‘s Abbot; Junior Ven. Thich Tam Thuc; Junior Ven. Thich Tam Luc, monks of the Hoang Phap Pagoda - Ho Chi Minh City, along with nun Thich Nu Dieu Tuyen at Hung Thien Pagoda, Dong Thap Province.
The head of the ceremony, MC Ngoc Bich respectfully invited Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hieu shared the meanings on the spring to Buddhists. After that, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Luc gave the public a clear understanding The meaning of "Praying for safety" according to the viewpoint of Buddha learners. Continuing the lecture to the mass is the way of study, of cultivation, of practice to obtain the present peace for themselves and the others.
After that, after many years of studying away from fatherland, Nun Thich Nu Dieu Tuyen also shared some dharma words on the occasion of the New Year's Eve with the mass. Before the end of preaching period, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung sent Tet greetings to all Buddhists, good men and believing women attended the ceremony of praying for peacefulness.
Continuing was the program to give the 2nd scholarship "Joining to wings for dreams" to young people who achieved outstanding academic results in the first semester of the school year in 2018 -2019. On behalf of the young people receiving this scholarship, Trinh Mai Thi had a few words of gratitude to the monks, Buddhists and Donators, as well as promised hard to studying and striving body mind to please to parents, teachers and supporter. After that, Buddhist Pham Van Quy showed the musical repertoire of spring to the public.
After that, the mass entered the reciting of sutra, releasing creatures and had vegetarian food in mindfulness.
In the evening, the Junior Abbot has led the people offering the meal to lone souls at the ceremony.
