Construction progress of Dang Phap pagoda
Update: 18/04/2022
Dang Phap pagoda was established on Feb. 2nd, 2018 (Dec. 17th, Year of the Rooster), spending over two years with the support of the Sangha and the permission of local government, the pagoda held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 8th, year of the Mouse; up to now, it has been started about two years.
Belonging to the custom of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Dang Phap Pagoda is designed with a ground-floor and a floor, within the upper floor being the main hall to worship the Three Jewels as a place for chanting and daily practice. The ground floor is used as the Lecture Hall to organize ceremony events and retreats.
Since the construction period faced many difficulties due to the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, especially following the Government's Directive 16, the construction had to be stopped altogether. At the same time, Buddhists from all directions are also restricted from traveling, the practice of retreats is also limited.
The construction work is about 80% complete at present. Thanks to the support of fellow monks, religious dignitaries, monks-nuns and Buddhists from everywhere, we hope the support will be maintained until the completion of the project.
Until now, Dang Phap pagoda has basically completed the rough part, is in the finishing stage, so it is in great need of funds from the donors to build. The help from benefactors is to contribute quickly to the construction, completion of the Tathagata's mission on the path of spreading Buddhadharma.
Thus, a temple is the place of practice for Buddhists and monks-nuns, and followers everywhere gather to visit and worship. That is also a location for Buddhists to worship and take refuge in the Three Jewels, as well as a destination for young people, teenagers, and Buddhist families to practice in a Pure Land ashram.
A temple is both a school that directs people to moral things by training Retreats, and a place to visit and worship from all visitors. Therefore, temples are built everywhere for directing people to truth, goodness and beauty, practicing precepts-concentration-wisdom and heading on the path of peace and deliverance.
