For thousands of years, the image of blossoming apricot has appeared in poetry and other fields as art, painting, etc. Beside pervading beauty and aroma to this life, apricot has strong vitality that is worth for people to contemplate.
Every new year, apricot blossoms in spring sunshine offering its fragrance and beauty. To do so, it had to spend a long time standing fierce weather. Many leaves had to fall down for buds to sprout. It is a lesson of strong vitality, tolerance and patience for us to learn.
Just a breeze passing by, petals of apricot flower leave branches. Besides offering beauty to this life, apricot gives us good lesson of strong energy, optimism in hardship, impermanence. Let’s drop all the unnecessary things for the robe (KasÄya ) in yellow, color of liberation.
Via the Dhamma talk, the Senior Venerable gives the mass great lessons to apply in daily life and practice to have happiness, to cultivate morality and virtue (Sīla), to strengthen the mind of letting go and to benefit this life. It is great when we are alive; everyone smiles, when we die; everyone cries.
