To be born in the Pureland
Here try to be a good man
(Thich Chan Tinh)
The Buddha said life itself is suffering by nature and human being tends to run out of suffering to find happiness. They don’t understand that the root of suffering comes from inside our mind, not outside, not by circumstances, so wherever we are with defilements in mind, we still suffer. No other way brings happiness for you unless you change your deeds, speech, and thoughts from unwholesome to wholesome. The law of karma is never changed: you reap what you sow, so just sow the good seeds you will happy.
From the talk, she also shares the way to build a Pureland here, where we are and when we are. The five precepts given by the Buddha to us is the foundation of being happy. Well-keeping the five precepts to develop our mindfulness in daily life. Life is just temporary after lives passed, so just satisfy and be happy with what we have, don’t chase for material things and caused bad karma. When our body, speech, and mind is pure by practice, we automatically have peace in mind and it is called “Pureland” here, right now on our earth. The absence of greed, hatred, and ignorance is the meaning of Pureland.
