Dharma Talk “Dreaming” – The 92ND Seven-Day Retreat
Update: 24/08/2019
In the morning of August 23rd, 2019 (July 23rd, LC), Ven. Thich Tam Dai, one of Hoang Phap monk, has a talk on the title of “Dreaming”.
According to Anguttara Nikaya, there are four reasons cause our dreaming: disordering of our physical organs, our experiences, influence of deities, and finally is future omens.
Our nightmares caused by daily activities and habits, so to avoid unexpected dreams or nightmares, we’d better take practice studiously. We can do on pure-talk, and collect what is good to keep in our Alaya consciousness.
Our mind is full of thoughts which are always rising and falling in every moment, therefore our emotion also changes all the time. So is it wise for us to keep our sadness, depression or suffering for a long time when they’re always changed? Suffering we experienced actually formed by our ignorance. Because of ignorance we keep all things that happened to us and hold them. Understanding all phenomena are impermanent, changing and unreal we can drop down and take practice easily. Transforming our disorder thoughts to one-point in mind, we will have no more dreaming as well as suffering.
