On the third day of 99th Seven-Day Retreat of April 11th, 2023, Senior Thich Tri Hue, Abbot of Phap Tang Temple in HCMC came to main hall 1 of Dharma Wheel Building to have a dharma talk named Let's practice to end suffering in life.
The suffering of sentient beings is immeasurable, indescribable, so the Buddha taught, the tears shed all sentient beings have had birth and death in six realms are more than the water in four oceans. Therefore, the Senior points out the general sufferings and the individual ones in human life:
*. The common miseries of all beings are eight sufferings of sages taught, such as: birth, old age, illness, death, unsatisfactory desires, separation of love, hatred ones facing, five-aggregate strong activities.
*. Individual miseries in each person: coming from the consequences of past evil karma; suffering in perception of mind: samsara, ignorance, wrong views, delusion, attachment, greed, .... and suffering by not practicing.
Since then, the Senior has clearly preached methods to transform suffering. With the teachings of Patriarchs and his own practice, he taught the contemplation state in abandoning both pain - pleasure, and encouraged listeners to practice and apply this practice in their daily living to obtain happiness in the present, and achieve deliverance in the future.
