Dharma Talk One word of grace, one blessing thing by Nun Thich Nu Tâm Tâm – The 106th Seven-Day Retreat
Update: 17/09/2025
On Sep. 17th, 2025 is the Fifth day of the Retreat. All practitioners gathered at the lecture halls to listen to a dharma talk named One word of gratitude, one blessing thing, preached by Nun Thich Nu Tâm Tâm, Abbot of Phap Hue Pagoda, HCMC.
The nun pointed out a new, wise and meaningful vision of the word “grace” to the attendees in her sermon. Grace is not simply gratitude and affection. Reflecting from the Buddhist perspective, grace is a manifestation of compassion, not only between people but also with all living beings exiting in this life. In the world, all living beings always fear suffering and seek peace and happiness regardless of their size. Understanding that, we should open up a great love, cherish, preserve, and protect all life. That great love given away means it will be nurtured and grow in the heart of each of us, becoming a source of light that illuminates our hearts and warms the hearts of others. Cause and effect are thus cyclical, each love given away is like a good energy being born, a good seed is sown, fragrant flowers and sweet fruits will certainly burst with fruition. Last, the love given away to protect others is the blessing that supports and protects us on the path of life and death.
