Dharma talk "Practicing Bodhisattva conduct" preached by Senior Thích Viên Trí in the 104th Seven-day Retreat

On the fourth day of the Retreat of Dec. 14th, 2024, Senior Thích Viên Trí, Member of the Executive Committee, Head of Board cum Chief Secretary of the VBS's Central Buddhist Education Board, Deputy President of Vietnam Buddhist University in HCMC had a dharma talk named "Practicing Bodhisattva conduct".

After attaining enlightenment, the Buddhas declared all sentient beings have Buddha nature, and everyone can become a Buddha in the future; in the process of cultivating the Paramitas to complete merit, all Bodhisattvas make vows as a method of cultivation. In the Avatamsaka Sutra, it is said that ten vows of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra are cultivated in the realm of inconceivability. By implementation in accordance with these ten vows, practitioners can win the heart of sentient beings and attain the supreme path of Enlightenment. He explained in detail the ten vows of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, helping practitioners to expand their thinking about ten vows, apply them in practical life. Thanks to this practice, cultivators will benefit for itself, family, and society.

 

Finishing the dharma, Most Master Thich Chan Tinh of Hoang Phap Pagoda met, discussed with the Senior about the Buddhist affairs at the residence, chatted about memories between the Venerable and the pagoda many years ago in joy of co-cultivators.
