On the third day of the 98th Seven-Day Retreat of Dec. 6th, 2022; Junior Thich Phap Dang, member of the Director Board of Dong Nai province ’s Buddhist Sangha, Head Director Board of Thong Nhat district’s Buddhist Sangha, Abbot of Hue Vien Temple had a dharma Talk in the Retreat on the title Reciting the Buddha 's names without receding.
In the dharma talk, the Venerable repeated the Patriarchs’ teachings, thereby encouraging attendees to practice diligently. The reason why people who practice reciting the Buddha's name still have not achieved its results is because their mind is turned away. Therefore, he taught the method of practice that keeps the Buddha's names without moving back, diligently practicing without moving back.
*. Keeping the recitation of Buddha's name does not move back: When suffering from illness, it is a good method to increase the faith; often remember thinking about the suffering of sentient beings in the six realms; Know how to appreciate the happy moments in the present.
*. Starting a mind of unchanging effort is to cherish the present time; Seeing clearly impermanence, human life just in the breaths; True cultivation, do not practice on the speech.
Practitioners firmly grasp the core of practice, train so that their mind always remembers to think of the Buddha names although death suddenly comes, the practitioner's mind always recites Buddha’s names, it will be born in a peaceful realm.
