On the third day of 106th Seven-Day Retreat of Sep. 15th, 2025, Most Thich Minh Thanh, Head of Director Board, Chief of Central propagation Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Can Tho City, Abbot of Buu Lien Temple had a dharma Talk named: Ullambana Chorus in the main hall.

The Most continued to stir up the longing for parents in listeners’ hearts during the Ullambana season of filial piety - love. He reminds no one can avoid the law of birth, aging, sickness and death in this life, and so our parents are the same. Each passing day brings our parents closer to the years of weakness, illness and finally their untimely departure.

Therefore, while our parents are still with us, please love them completely, take good care of them, and be filial to them as we would to the two Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in our home. Don't let the precious moments with our parents pass by carelessly and unintentionally. Don't say things that make our parents sad, don't do things that make them think and worry. Live fully in the boundless love of our parents. Don't forget our parents. Don't leave them to live quietly in the hidden corners of their life. Because one day, when they leave this world, we will no longer have the chance to live in the protective arms of our parents. At that time, whether we regret or feel heartbroken, it will be too late.
