Dong Cao pagoda warmly celebrating enlightened achievement of the Bodhisattva Siddhartha

In the evening of lunar Dec. 8th, the Year of dog) Dong Cao Pagoda organized the enlightened achievement night of Bodhisattva Siddhartha in Thanh Hoa province.

The event of Bodhisattva Siddhartha enlightened achievement was remarked as the major point in the human’s religious history; it shows the new era as the humanity, equality, non-ego and compassion. He is the human’s great Teacher; the Blessed One appeared in the normal world, caused a boundless echo in the religious history and philosophy by His transcendent wisdom which was displayed in the normal writing and words.

The time has passed almost three millenniums, many changes of the world; however, the Buddha’s teachings is a endless message for experts’ insight, studying and practicing. The Buddha is only a common person, but He is the great person gathering innumerable quintessence artistry of humanity. Therefore, in the any angles of life, we can meet His appearance. It is the one of truth, compassion and wisdom.

 In harmony with the joy of human kind, in the evening of Dec. 8th, the year of dog, all of Buddhists in the District, who came to Dong Cao Pagoda, respectfully prayed, had taken their refuge on the great Teacher of humanity and gods.

Accordingly, Monks and the mass together bow, refuge respect and show vows to the light of Buddha's  wisdom, the light of love, step by step on the way to enlightenment in the proclaiming spirit of dharma teachings.

Beginning the ceremony, all of the mass began silent moment, listen the bell’s sounding, the practice of which will abandon anxiety in life, listen to the moments of the Buddha's enlightened achievement. Next, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, the Chief of organizers  instructed chanting of “Eight right paths" to the mass.

Next, the Junior Ven. reminded the Buddhists who should try their daily cultivation, should self light their torch in their mind and body. Wishing for that, we have to try cultivation, diligently do good deeds, Particularly, with the practices who are cultivating on the section of Pure Land, should train their “belief, diligence, vow” to found the happiness at present and enlightenment in the future.

At the end of the ceremony, the masses practiced together walking meditation in mindfulness.
