Forever custom of grave-visiting festival

On the evening of April 14th, 2022 (March 14th, LC), Hoa Phuc Pagoda in Hanoi City solemnly held a candle lighting ceremony to honor ancestors on the grave-visiting festival and monthly repentance.

This festival is an important day in the national tradition for us to remember our ancestors.

The theme is back to the Source in this grave-visiting festival, we look forward to the age-old  tradition of our ancestors by candles. Each soul will be lit with a candle for refueling; the energy of living person can be a spouse, father or mother, child or grandchild, grandpa or grandma transfers the deceased loved ones the light of awakening to help those souls overcome dark journeys on the road to rebirth. These candles light not only today, but they were lit yesterday, and will continue toward the future that the ancestors passed down in the generations. Hopefully, the mass will practice well in the coming days so that the sacred candles can be sent to Ancestors to the fullest.

Water from source flow out everywhere
Does it remember the starting place?
That origin is still waiting for old current
When will the water return to its source again?
