Gameshow S Buddhists Program - Summer Retreat 2014

On the second day of the retreat, a dharma talk on the theme "The Ideal of Living" was lectured by Dr.Sen. Ven. Thich Nhat Tu, Vice Head of Vietnam’s Buddhist Studies Institute in Ho Chi Minh City

On this topic, He pointed out the relating issues to\r\nbuild a right and beautiful ideal of living, take part in orientation\r\nfor their brightest future. After the Dharma, he graciously answered their questions\r\nrelating this topic.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the activities of the summer retreat 2014, the\r\nprogram S-Buddhists Gameshow was first organized with the aim\r\nto help students show their knowledge of Dharma as well as their own\r\ntalents in other areas.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

 In the afternoon, Jun. Ven. Thich Tam Tien\r\nintroduced and set the meaning of the program and guided them\r\nthe methods and content of exams.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The program will go through 3 rounds, in the\r\npreliminary selection, they send a writing to the Organizing\r\nCommittee on essay topic: "Some people said that  pagoda is a\r\nplace for the elders, the bored of life and  dying people.\r\nWhat you think about this idea? " Ten best writings will\r\nbe selected by the  Board of Examiners for attending the\r\nsemi-finals, a talent round. Then, five candidates will be selected to compete\r\nin eloquent oral and presentation exams in the final.

For more than an hour, The Venerable also answered the questions set\r\nup for their finishing the exams in the best way.
