Hoang Phap Traditional Meeting

At the moment, Hoang Phap pagoda has got more than 32 subsidiary pagodas. During a year being busy with Buddhism activities in regions, abbots from subsidiary pagodas came back to Hoang Phap pagoda to visit their Master, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda and the mass. This is a great opportunity for everyone to strengthen the brethren-hood, share experiences they have got in regions and contribute for the development of the sangha.
After praying for Buddha’s witness and blessing, Venerable Thich Tam Hoa, on behalf of the sangha, expressed the gratitude to the merits of Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, Master of the Sangha. In response, the Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda delivered a talk of motivation and encouragement to the sangha.
Firstly, he praised the devoted spirit of his disciples who have been ready to cope with hardship and challenges taking the duty preaching Dharma in remote places.
Such incidents could be the difference between regions in customs/habit, way to practice/perform Buddhism activities, communication and relationship with local governors and religious leaders… Most of Buddhism missionaries have skillfully overcome all the obstacles to serve the mass at best. The Senior Venerable was very happy to see the maturity of his disciples who have followed the example of Hoang Phap Founder in practicing and turning the Dharma wheel.
The Senior Venerable advised sangha members to arrange Buddhism activities in regions properly so that everyone can have time to join the Annual Anniversary Day of Hoang Phap pagoda. This is the opportunity for clergy men to recall the bright example of the Founder to follow.
In order to turn the Dharma wheel, it is necessary for monks have three following factors: commitment, talent and virtue. Therefore, everyone need to cultivate the mind via studying in books and Buddhism activities on the field.
When renouncing the household life, many monks may originally aspire to become Buddhism scholar/translator/recluse. However, for the sake of benefits of sentient beings, they are ready to shoulder the duty of a missionary with Buddhism activities and Dharma preaching in regions. Buddhists in remote places terribly need the guidance from monks so that they can practice properly on the way to liberation. Based on such demand, the Senior Venerable encouraged qualified monks coming to such areas to serve sentient beings. To have the advocacy from the mass, it is necessary for the abbot to have merit, morality, commitment and powerful practicing. The Abbot should be in the shoe of others in communication and giving decision to achieve his target: preaching Dharma to benefit all.
In the meeting, the Senior Venerable suggested everyone saving time to join the Annual Anniversary Day of Hoang Phap Pagoda so that members of Hoang Phap Sangha can meet one another at least once a year to perform the harmony, to share and learn from others’ experience to practice and serve the mass better.
