“Love Spreading in Buddhism” – Dharma Talk in the 89th Seven-Day Retreat
Update: 06/09/2018
On Sep. 6th, 2018, in the morning there is a Dharma Talk shared by Ven. Thich Tam Luan, a monk of Hoang Phap on the title of “Love spreading in Buddhism”.
Some stories he mentioned in the talk to make people understand that the real love related to attachment and whole heart. And the love spreads to anyone must have the same issue of loving-kindness and compassion, tolerance.
He then moves to the love of a parent for children. He reminds people that no any parent unloving their children, but not all love with the right way which can bring happiness to them. For your children, love doesn’t mean you satisfy them only material things but also mental matter. They need your care and emotional love. We should care more about children for being their friends, and orienting them to the right choice according to morality and social norm.
For those who in life still have parents, treat them well and tell them about Buddhism. It’s late for them maybe, but still better than they never know about. And by the side, we also work hard for the benefit of others, this is the best way to repay your parents. Being good to those who are with you now, listen and try to understand them, that’s how love showed fully.
Not only spreading love to others but forget yourself. Loving yourself you have to put more effort to practice and cultivate your mind, keep stably your Buddhist faith and develop your wisdom and compassion every day. Taking a slow life with all mindfulness for peace in every moment, this is how you love yourself.
