New Year Meeting of Hoang Phap Translation Team

For Dhamma preaching purpose, Hoang Phap pagoda always focuses on religious activities as retreats for Buddhists and propagating Dhamma to aspirants (who would like to study Buddha teachings and search for bliss and ease in life). The sphere of those programs is not only limited in domestic region but also spread to overseas areas. From that point of view, English version of Hoang Phap website has been formed and put into operation for more than 5 years. With the witness of Venerable Thich Tam Trong, Deputy Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, the meeting took place in joys with the participation of members including students and university lecturers as Mr. Le van Duoc, Mr. Hoang Huan. Ms. Le Thuy Duong, Mr. Tran Quoc Dung, Ms. Dieu Lien Hoa, Ms. Dieu Ngoc.
Starting to work with 5 contributors, the total members of translation team has now grown up to more than 20 people. Young enthusiasm and commitment of members have made sustained growth for the group. This data is the encouragement for senior members who have consistently supported Hoang Phap pagoda and other team members in translation. May the group and its work develop and get better and better in future. The backbone members of the team hope that potential juniors set time to promote their English and Dhamma knowledge for better service to Hoang Phap pagoda. Dhamma/Knowledge is endless and it takes time for translators making progress on the field.Contrary to secular activities/jobs, the work of translators for Hoang Phap pagoda is a non-profit and meaningful activity bringing Buddha teachings to everyone, helping them live better in secular/religious life.
This contribution to Triratna can help supporters themselves grow mature and have certain achievements. Life is more likely a boomerang giving back to you what you have given out. Contributors can have opportunity learning and understanding more about Buddha teachings then applying them into daily life and work at proper time. Besides translating Vietnamese – English news, everyone is encouraged to select and translate English – Vietnamese good articles on Buddhism news/information from various sources of internet to enrich Hoang Phap website.
After listening to comments of members, Venerable Thich Tam Trong welcomed all the ideas and praised the merits of the team. On behalf of the Abbot, he sent new year regards and best wishes to all members and their families.
Closing the meeting, he sent Dharma gifts, lucky money to members and invited everyone for new year lunch.
