New Year’s Praying Ceremony for Peace at Giai Lam Pagoda - Ha Tinh.

Going to Pagoda in the initial year is an indispensable operation of all people on the upcoming Tet occasion. This custom has become the beauty of the minfully spiritual culture in the life of Vietnamese. Vietnameses believe that, going to Pagoda is not only to pray for lucky things, welfare and happiness for their family, but also a moment for peoplecombining with the mindful spirit, leaving much hardness in their living. Coming to Pagoda, in the purification space, the smell of frankincense, each of us feels more gentle and peaceful mind.
According to Buddhism, Praying for peace has the meaning of repentance from guilty , elimination of Karma for ease of body and joy of heart. Buddhists going to Pagoda in the initial year with the aim to listen to the Dharma, recite the Buddhist Sutra, recite Buddha, offer Triple Gem, wish to increase virtue and wisdom, decrease evil Karma. And this is also the occasion for Buddhists judge their mistakes in words, actions, thoughts and promise to repent and practice better, bringing the benefit for themselves and the others.
After the Dharma talk is the ceremony of offering incense, doing homage to the Buddha, praying for blessing. All persistently, sincerely recited.
The praying ceremony ended in the pleasure of all people.
