One - day cultivation at hoang phap pagoda in cambodia.

With the heart of promoting popular Buddha dharma to Vietnamese Buddhists in Cambodia, Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia organized the one-day cultivation course every month. On Sunday of July 17th, 2016, (lunar June 14th, Monkey year) hundreds of Vietnamese living in Cambodia and the residents around returned to attend this cultivation day.

 By permission of the Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda in Vietnam, Junior Thich Tam Sy, a monk of Hoang Phap pagoda had a speech with the theme of Saptadhana (Seven Fortunes). It is seven spiritual fortunes

including of belief, precepts, shyness, fearing, listening, quitting and wisdom.

 

First is the belief. That means believing in the Triratna, causes and effects law of karmas.

Second is precepts, That means keeping three karmas of body, speech, thoughts being pure to avoid mistakes, faults.

Third is shyness, That means shy with self mind when we commit mistakes.

Forth is the fear, That means  the criticizing   fear of people as making evil actions.

Fifth is listen of dharma. That means looking for, learning, believing, and memory of dharma knowledge.

Sixth is quitting of fortune, That means alms giving, offering with opening heart.

Seventh is wisdom. That means being aware of fulling about the causes and effects law, evil and blessing deeds, goodness and badness, nothing and non ego of body and mind.

 

After preaching was the Buddha reciting course, walking and having a luncheon.

Finishing of the one – day cultivation, each of them was given one gift of aVCD: “Eight Worldly Dharmas”, “True sayingscausing resentment”. Each of attendees got smiles on their lips. They may feel happy after this meaningful and joyfulcultivating.
