One-day cultivation of reciting the Buddha’s name at Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa province

Hundreds of Buddhists of inside and outside district gathered to Dong Cao Pagoda at Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province to attend one-day cultivation of reciting the Buddha’s name.

Beginning the cultivating day, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, as Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda instructed all Buddhists singing the song “Dao Ca – Religious anthem” before cultivating time. After that, Buddhist Dieu Tam taught the rite of repentance of six senses to all of them. Next, Junior Abbot Ven. reviewed the mass five precepts of a lay man and performed the rite of releasing creatures.

 At 9 a.m, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung came to the lecture hall to preach the dharma talk about the theme "The necessary factors of support   reciting the Buddha's name for the one being dying of their relative. Nearly two hours passing, by simple words and the understandable stories, as well as his own practice, the Junior Lecture Ven. explained clearer about the reciting support the Buddha’s name to Buddhist. This action will help the dying one could have right mindfulness, awareness and remembering to the Buddha. Those relatives must arrange for the family, prepare the funeral and reduce the traditional rites without the right tradition of the Buddha’s teachings. The Junior Ven. reminded Buddhists who should make effort to transfer their mind and body at present, and not to wait for the supporting group of reciting of the Buddha’s name at the moment of dying. The Buddha disciples must transfer its mind and body, improve their own self which helps build a happier family and then contribute to the nation, as well as keep on the Buddha’s teachings. The end of speech was a conversation of question and answer between the Junior Ven. and Buddhists on cultivation.

After that, the mass began the retreat’s cultivation time.
