Full of Buddhists everywhere returned to Suoi Phap Pagoda (belonging to the Hoang Phap’s sect) in Tan Chau, Tay Ninh province to attend One-day Retreat on May 26th, 2024.
In response to the Organizers' invitation, Junior Thich Tam Tri, Vice Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda came to the ashram to share a Dharma talk named Samsara being suffering.
The monk taught that reincarnation is the rebirth, death and rebirth of a being while that being is still in the cycle of birth and death that has not yet escaped this rebirth. It is likened to a wheel that is always turned without stopping; according to its created karma, beings are reincarnated into six realms. The Buddha taught in the sutras, in an instant, one can be born into the human world or the heavenly world; momentarily, they are reborn into the realms of hungry ghosts, animals, etc. When sentient beings have not yet escaped the cycle of birth and death, they are reborn again and again in Three realms and six-way reborns.
When going to rebirths, depending on the karma created, good ones are born into the good path, bad ones are born into the three evil rebirths of suffering.
Samsara suffered. The Buddha taught that the water contained in four Oceans is not equal to the tears of sentient beings. Indeed, when looking back in human life, we see there is so much suffering. Every time we suffer, we feel sad and cry; for example, someone we love and cherish suddenly passes away. Over countless eons, sentient beings have always been born and died, and in each rebirth, they have received countless sufferings. Buddha appeared in this world out of compassion to save sentient beings. He taught many methods for sentient beings to practice in order to escape the cycle of reincarnation, attain to Nirvana, such as: reciting the Buddha's name, meditating, reciting mantras, controlling the mind... if practiced thoroughly, all dharmas can lead to enlightenment and deliverance.
In the afternoon, the mass chanted the Buddha name and walked meditation.
