One-Day Practice

All Buddhists came to the lecture halls to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting precepts in the morning.
After the rite, all practitioners listened to a Dharma talk named "Every meeting is precious, because it never repeats" preached by Junior Thich Tam Luan, Abbot of Bao Quang pagoda, Dong Nai province.
The upheavals and uncertainties always abound in life make everyone crave a site to lean on that brings a sense of peace and stability. In reality, it is not easy to find true peace outside; we can only find peace when we return to our inner selves. Our minds are easily obscured by worries in a chaotic environment, only when our minds are as calm as a quiet lake can we find peace deep within ourselves. The Buddha taught the mind’s pure nature is always present but is obscured by five hindrances: greed, anger, sleepiness, restlessness and doubt. To transform and overcome these hindrances, we need to be mindful to recognize them, practice countermeasures such as contemplating impurity, loving-kindness, mindfulness of breathing, etc.
Japanese tea ceremony culture has a famous Zen saying called Nhat Ky Nhat Hoi, which means Every meeting is precious, because it never repeats. When overcoming these hindrances, we can see our pure mind and cherish every encounter in life. The past will not return, but reality still exists. Let 's live fully in each moment, each relationship so that each present moment is beautiful, peaceful, and happy.
The dharma talk ended with the joy of the mass.
After reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly. Before leaving the temple, Buddhists received book gifts.
