One - day reciting cultivation at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa Province

During 4 years, once a month, Dong Cao Pagoda has held the reciting cultivation which attracted hundreds of Buddhists returning for participation.
As usual, the beginning of the recitation is the ceremony of repentance, revising the five precepts of laying home Buddhists and releasing aquatic creatures under the instruction of Ven. Thich Tam Hung - Head of the recitation organizer.
At 9 o"clock, the mass welcomed Venerable Thich Tam Hung who witnessed the ceremony which sums up all of the Buddhist activities in the past year and orienting new activities in 2018.
At the beginning of the program, according to the letter of the Venerable of Hoang Phap pagoda to popularize a Vietnamese Buddhist song called "Dao Ca" to the Buddhists. Junior Ven. had instructed the mass to listen to Dao Ca (Dharma song). After that, Buddhist Dieu Tam, on behalf of the mass, summarized the activities and orientation for 2018. To encourage the Buddhists, the Junior Ven. had some advice for the Buddhists who had good performance in the past year and distributed the scholarships to the children in the club of Dong Cao Young Buddhists who had good grades in the first school year"s semester. The Buddhists also had some comments to the pagoda in the past year. To end the ceremony, the Junior Ven. had a talk about the process of organizing the cultivation as well as the contribution of the departments and the spirits of all Buddhists. To end his words, he shared some teachings: "To attain enlightenment, Buddhists need to keep 3 things and give up 3 things. They must keep faith, vows, happiness and give up on greed, hatred and delusion by the methods taught by the Buddha".
In the afternoon, the mass started the routines as usual like doing meditation, chanting, reciting the Buddha. Especially, the organizer had prepared more than 50 gift sets worth nearly 250,000 VND/ each (including sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles, seasonings, 100,000VND cash) to send to poor Buddhists.
Ending the ceremony, Ven. Thich Tam Hung did the offerings. During this retreat, the organizer has donated to the Buddhists the book " VietnameseLunar New Year of " by the Venerable Thich Chan. Tinh.
