One - Day Retreat at Dong Cao pagoda

On Sep.18th, 2022 (Aug. 24th, LC), Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa province (belonging to the Hoang Phap’s custom) continued to organize the One-day Retreat on lunar August for Buddhists everywhere to attend.
First, the Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda instructed the mass meditation walking. After that, the ashram to chant the ritual of six-sense repentance, remind five precepts, and perform the rite freeing creatures.
After that, Buddhist Lien Hong, Vice of Club’s members read the rules of practice for participants to know and practice. At 9:30 a.m., the mass solemnly invited Junior Thich Tam Hung to come to the Hoa Sen lecture hall to share a Dharma talk titled "Causes and effect sin the present and in the future". Over one hour preaching, by easy-to -understand language and his own practice experience, Venerable pointed out the true nature of Causality. That is "Modifying the three karma, renewing oneself.” To gain that result, the practitioner must keep the precepts he has received, as well as have stable awareness on the path of studying Buddhism, overcome desires of five senses to follow the right path in which the Buddha and Patriarchs have taught.
In the afternoon, the Abbot guided the participants to sit in silence, feel happiness in the present and read Sigalovada sutra (Sutta on human morality), as well as the Buddha reciting in walking meditation. Then, the practitioners gathered together to share peaceful energy and experience on the day of cultivation. This time, new novice Tam Chan, a son of Nga Son ordained at Hoang Phap's pagoda during his visit to his homeland, had a few words to confide in the listeners present.
On this practice, the pagoda gave prizes to the kids who are the Buddhists' children and the Youth, who are living at the temple, who have achieved the achievements of Advanced and Excellent Students, and won prizes at the District and Provincial level, as well as candidates passing exams to universities in the academic year 2021-2022. The gift is to encourage and motivate them to work hard in the academy, be good children and good students, and be useful in the future for the country.
Before leaving, the monks gave gifts of books to Buddhists.
