Praying before Examination at Dong Cao Pagoda – Thanh Hoa

On 14th June, 2018 (01st May, Year of Dog) many monks and Buddhists came back to Dong Cao Pagoda – Nga Yen village, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province continued their humanistic charity activities.

At 7:30, Buddhist teenagers of Dong Cao pagoda dispensed vegetarian food cards for patients who treated at the General Hospital of Nga Son district.

At 8h00, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung – Dong Cao Abbot held a releasing ceremony at Hung Long river in order to pray for candidates who were going to attend High-School , university and college finals of 2016..

At exactly 9:00, Venerable Tam Hoan- a monk of Hoang Phap pagoda - HCM city directed Buddhist a penance time - Luong Hoang Sam Phap. In three months summer retreat,  on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the mass would learn dharma from the instruction of local pagoda’s   monks.

At 10:45, vegetarian food was delivered for patients at Nga Son General hospital. Those small packs of food were “Whole leaves wrap torn leaves” spirit of Vietnamese to help patients recover from their illness and come back with their family.

In the afternoon, over 100 high school students of Nga Son district invited the monks to celebrate praying ceremony before high-school finals, university and college entrance exam in 2018. Venerable – Abbot instructed candidates recite Buddha name then sing Dharma song. After that, the monks incensed to Buddha and gave encouragement to candidates before their important examination. Examinees had an additional supporting point at Triratna through venerable advices. They could solve their psychological pressure, gaining more confident, wise and  calm to achieve good result on the next test. After that, under venerable instruction, all candidates recite Eight Fold Paths scripture to offer to  Ten direction Triratna.

At the end, candidates were received souvenirs from the monks. The ceremony left so much meaningful thought to present people, which is true of Buddhist spirit in life  at the land full of material and spiritual difficulties.
