Repentant Ceremony 2019

On August 14th, 2019 (July 14th, LC), devout Buddhists from in and out HCMC come to Hoang Phap to take the monthly repentant ceremony.

Ven. Thich Chan Tinh took a retreat for reading Tipitaka from December 8th last year (2018) now has been finished. Now he comes back to the community and has some words to everyone.

Ven. Thich Tam An, one of his disciple and now the abbot of Hung Phap temple in Dong Nai province, on behalf of the monks, addressed some respected saying to welcome his coming back. Then a short Dharma talk sent to all in the wait of people. 

“Our physical body is a pile of debt and gratitude

Given by our parent and all sentient beings”

All phenomena appear in this world is just an aggregation of many conditions and will cease according to the law of impermanence no matter our bodies, our belonging or nature. Now we are here is the good conditions sowed from the past and the compassion of our grandmaster, Ven. Ngo Chan Tu, the founder of this temple. Without him, now we have no such a good place for being here and taking practice, doing good karma, and sowing the bodhi seed. Besides that, other conditions from the lay Buddhists and many people bring about the whole overview like now. Receiving these things, we all have to pay back all gratitudes from them by taking practice for purifying our mind day by day. No any paying back better than being a virtuous one in which we can bring happiness for self and others. Be respect everything we have!

Finish the talk, people all pay homage to him with the three times of bowing down.

Then the repentant rite was taken as usual.
