Repentant Ceremony

On October 27th, 2019 (Sep. 29th, LC), devout Buddhists in HCMC came to Hoang Phap temple to take the monthly repentant ceremony.

Before the rite, Ven. Thich Tam Do had a Talk named “The Buddha’s teaching saved my life”.

“Being human we all had mistakes

The difference is it’s much or less”

Leaving childhood behind for being an adult, we all have suffering caused by both ourselves and others or inside and outside. Some are less but some have lot of suffering which can not be solved. Therefore some drop themselves to escape their unwanted feeling and create bad karma a lot. He said before ordination he also did s many wrong things which made parents suffer for long time. Even suicide intention has ever come in his mind. His means the bad environment association will lead to bad habits, bad manners. And without the right reflection, we are easy to explode anger and remain disastrous consequences.

An hour sharing, he helps to open some problems which ingrained in people's minds by his own story. By this, he also reminds the Buddhists the importance of mindfulness for self-reflect and clear-seeing to prevent defilements come into one’s mind, which keeps them in the circle of depression and soreness. Be mindful of current peace and happiness.

Finished the talk, people start the repentant ceremony.
