Update: 04/04/2019
On April 4th, 2019 (Feb. 30th, LC), thousands of devout Buddhist from in and out HCMC gathered at Hoang Phap to join the monthly repentant ceremony.
As usual, before taking the ceremony, there is Dharma sharing from the inner monk. This time it’s done by Ven. Thich Tam Tri on the title of “The Art in Practice”.
In life, the best result caused by full attention. It’s the same in Buddhist practice. To reach the goal, one needs to keep it continuously. In the Buddha time, having known various abilities of human being, the Buddha showed to them different ways of practice for the best result. In Digha Nikaya, he mentioned one of them named “taking wise attention”. Taking this method one needs the right attention forward to greed-abandoning, hatred-abandoning, and ignorance-abandoning. One drives their attention to impermanence, suffering, non-self, and good things. This practice one can do whenever and wherever. With wise attention, we can avoid the mistake and wrong views. Do it frequently we have a clear seeing to see the rasing and falling of all phenomena, seeing the suffering, impermanence, and non-self of all phenomena, finally we get out of the circle of birth and death, stop forever the samsara. This process following by “don’t attach, drop craving, remove defilements, gain wisdom, get awakening, get full liberation, enter nirvana”.
Finished the talk, people take the repentant ceremony as usual.
