Repentant Ceremony on Dec 6th, 2018

In the evening of Dec 6th, 2018, devout Buddhists from in and outside HCMC gathered at Hoang Phap to join the monthly repentant ceremony.

This time, Ven. Thich Tam Luu shared to all the Buddhist the Dharma talk “The impermanence of body”.

He talked about the process of being born, growing up, and decaying of a man. This is just a natural process that we all bear. However, this process can be broken anytime, one can die from the youth or immediately after being born. Unexpecting things can happen anytime, and our life calculated in every moment of breath. Therefore, as a Buddhist we have to recognize the nature of impermanence then put more effort to practice, be happy in present and later. When our time is coming, we have nothing to fear, always be mindful to change defilement into happiness.

To summarize the talk, he borrows the saying of Ven. Thich Chan Tinh: “The ignorant one cares only this life, the wise one cares not only this but also the next life”.
