Repentant Ceremony on intercalary month of April 29th, Year of Mouse

On June 20th, 2020 (intercalary month of April 29th, Year of Mouse), the good men and believing women in and out of Ho Chi Minh City returned to Hoang Phap Pagoda to attend the periodic penance ceremony.

Before beginning the rite, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Nhuan  had a dharma talk to the participants with the topic: 

Cultivation is not easy, but don't be discouraged.

Throughout a person's life, he or she will go through different stages with joy, sadness, success and failure. There is someone who can rise up to succeed, also some ones stop or fall into pessimism, negativity. On the path of spirituality, too, our practice will face difficulties and obstacles. If we do not have enough pure faith, extraordinary energy, patience, we will generate confusion, fear and gradually lose predestined conditions with the Buddha door, shun Dharma, sow bad causes for next life. On the contrary, when suffering comes we are ready to accept it because we have deeply believed in cause and effect, have faith in the Triple Gem, at the same time apply the Buddha's teaching as well as our spiritual practice in daily life which helps to bring happiness to yourself and everyone around.

By his homely, sincere confidences, the Monk reminded the practitioners when they encounter difficulties in practice, do not be discouraged but be diligent, more persistent overcome all difficulties towards the noble path, to fulfill the ideal of spiritual practice to proceed on the path of enlightenment.
