Repentant Ceremony on Oct. 29th, Year of Mouse

Before beginning the rite, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Luu had a dharma talk with the topic “Money” to all the participants.
Money is created to facilitate material exchange between people, stabilize human life. From here, money has become an essential means to meet all needs for people. However, life always contains unsatisfactory things that make people feel insecure; To gain the wishes in life, ones try to accumulate a lot of money, even scramble, steal from others ... leading to social evils that cause misery, pain, mourning to many unfortunate fates.
By practical stories, Junior told the mass about the harms and dangers that come from money. Money has two potential factors, if used for useful things, it will bring a lot of goodness to the mass, on the contrary, it will be a weapon that destroys good values.
From the talk, Junior wants to remind the practitioners, everyone should cultivate their right understanding to realize the correct way to follow. The world changes impermanently, each of us is like a passenger on path, do not attach more possessions, but cultivate yourself by virtue of good karma for present and future life when all of us still have to live around in three realms.
After that, the mass listened to the song Sand dust in life.
After the talk, the mass entered the penitential ceremony as usual.
