Setting up a pole tree to Welcome the Snake year 2025 and 7th Gratitude Ceremony to disciples at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

Monks and Buddhists of Dong Cao Pagoda held a pole setting rite to celebrate the New Year according to national tradition and the 7th Disciple Gratitude Ceremony on the evening of January 24, 2025.
The monks explained the meaning of pole setting on the occasion of Lunar New Year. In Vietnamese culture, the pole has the meaning of saying goodbye to the old year, welcoming the new year, and is a symbol of the people's wishes for a peaceful and prosperous New Year. Then, he led the mass to worship the Three Jewels, opened the spring models to celebrate the Snake year, and enjoyed the fireworks display to celebrate the New Year.
The 7th Disciple Gratitude Ceremony at Ngo Chan Tu lecture hall was to praise the Buddhists who have accompanied and served Dong Cao Pagoda in the past year.
The attendees reviewed the pagoda’s Buddhist activities in 2024, lit candles with the words "Gratitude to disciples". In a warm and close atmosphere, the Abbot shared a few words with the Buddhists.
Receiving Dong Cao Pagoda with the spirit of continuing the Dharma propagation of Patriarch and Master, helping everyone know Buddhism is the receiver's responsibility. To fulfill that responsibility is thanks to the dedication and contributions of all Buddhists.
The gratitude ceremony is an opportunity for the monk to express his deep gratitude to all Buddhists supporting and serving the pagoda. He hopes Buddhists and people everywhere will always maintain their faith in the Three Jewels, spread Buddhism, build a pure land at the present and aim for peace and deliverance in the future.
Finally, the monk personally presented gratitude gifts to everyone.
