Although there is a geographical and spatial separation, in the mind of the Vietnamese people always look forward to the sacred New Year's Eve. Similar to the New Year culture of the Khmer in Cambodia, Vietnamese people are also influenced by this custom, people go on a pilgrimage to temples to kowtow Buddha, travel to spring, visit sights, and receive fortune at beginning of the year, feeling the taste of homeland and warm heart of the expatriate.
This year's Tet is different from any other year due to the Covid-19 epidemic, which has limited the gathering of people, but the Tet holidays still take place. People will enjoy spring day in moderation, distance, and strictly comply with regulations on disease prevention in the community.
On the occasion of the new year, male and female followers have returned to Cambodia Hoang Phap Pagoda (Hamlet 1, SvayRolum Commune, Sa Ang District, Kandal Province, Cambodia) to visit and receive gifts of the temple.
