The 18th Dharma Talk Program: "Confidences in the life of cultivation".

Continuing the confidences of a practitioner 's own cultivation on July 22nd, 2021 (June 13th, LC), Junior Thich Tam Khac talked about his first time of training at the pagoda until he became a monk. These things help us to understand more some activities in the overall picture of religious life at the temple.

The Ven. recounted in great detail what he experienced about obstacles and temptations before the day he himself was ordained. These are the challenges of female beauty, memories of helping at the pagoda branch, obstacles from the family... It seems that these things are to test the will and patience of those who aspire to practice.

At last, the monk told about the practice of being silent before slanders and insults without saying hurtful words to anyone. Then, he recalled the duty of a cultivator; besides his own study and practice, that one must bring the light of the Buddha Dharma to many people. In the end, it is diligence to overcome challenges and obstructions, not to stop on the enlightened path.
