The 2nd Three-Jewel Refuge Ceremony in 2020

Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is extremely important, marking the time a person officially becomes a Buddhist. From now, all attendees have entered the Dharma house, getting a good spiritual path for their life. Therefore, the Refuge Ceremony was held very seriously and took place throughout the day.
After registering in the morning, participants came to the lecture halls to learn right demeanor when they come to the pagoda, such as the manner of clasping their hands, greeting, prostrating, etc,. these are very necessary and important rules, because not everyone has also enough conditions to attend and learn these rules. Next, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dong shared about happiness and suffering in real life and the source of true peace that comes from the inner mind. Meanwhile, He also guided and explained thoroughly the purpose, meaning and some misunderstandings of Buddhists in the issue of Three Refuge and Five Precepts.
In the afternoon, the ceremony officially took place under the witness of Sangha at the pagoda. On behalf of the present monks, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh transferred the Three Refuge and Five Precepts for the receivers. Next, the Ven. had some instruction and encouragement words to new Buddhists.
Appearing in this life, we have a lot of lucky things, when we are human beings, have enough senses and be heard Buddha Dharma. In particular at the time we had the right belief when we returned to rely on the Three Jewels.
Not understanding Buddha Dharma, we are just like people who are drunk and ignorant, that means we go around forever in the circle of samsara. Because we often have the wrong thoughts about human life, we think that there is no next life, then create so many sins, not fear the cause and effect, always hope to satisfy all desires. By this way, the Monk clearly explained the nature of death and the karma of beings. We were really fortunate to hear the teachings and practice in the Buddha's precepts to do good deeds, aim at the good and noble, which will help to sow the ethical seeds for the next life.
Along with receiving Three Refuge, keeping on Five Precepts of the Buddhists is very significant. Thanks to this, we will have the personality of a true Buddhist. The five precepts - the five basic moral principles, will help receivers perfect them and lead their living to a clean and noble life.
The ceremony ended in the joy of everyone. Before leaving, all Buddhists were granted with the books, such as, The story of Shakyamuni Buddha, Brief Introductions of Hoang Phap monastery, Buddha Dharma Saving My Destiny, Three Refuge and Five Precepts.
