The 3rd Day of Temporary Ordination for Children

After breakfast on July 27th, 2020, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda reminded the children about the way of walking, saying, laughing of a cultivator, also a person's cultural behaviour.
Next, all young attendees listened to a short talk from Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dong, Deputy Abbot Hoang Phap Pagoda with the topic Demeanour of the Buddha's Disciple.
Everything should be done in an order first and then later to be able to gain certain results. Starting to practice the ethics, a cultivator must control ourselves by preserving the dignity and virtue of the leaving-home person. Therefore, the Junior Ven instructed the little cultivators in the demeanor and necessary conduct when living in the temple: no joking, talking together at the solemn place, how to arrange shoes, how to speak to Monks, how to prevent sins,... as well as independence, help housework for the mass. In addition, the Monk taught the children to prostrate, clap their hands, greetings ... Finally, they read the poem Gratitude to remind them of the grace they have been enjoying in life.
That afternoon, the participants heard a dharma talk by Junior Ven. Thich Tam Quyet on the topic How To Be A Good Child.
Each of us is aiming for noble values such being a good son in the family and a good person in society. By the real stories, the Monk helped young attendees know the moral values to train the character of a good child. That is a filial son to his father and mother, respect for the elderly, love his brothers, work and study diligently, have morality and virtue, choose good and honest friends, learn good things ...
