The Atthanga-sila course at Hoa Phuc pagoda – Hanoi

In the cold breeze of the last days of the year, from Dec 22nd to Dec 24th, 2017 at Hoa Phuc pagoda, Hoa Truc hamlet, Hoa Thanh commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi city, there were nearly 150 abbots from many places in Vietnam gathered at Hoa Phuc pagoda in order to attend The Atthanga-sila course in 3 days and 2 nights.

At 2:00PM, The Buddhists gathered around and welcomed Bhadanta Thich Tam Hoa – the Abbot of Hoa Phuc pagoda – to the hall of the pagoda, in order to teach the Athhanga-sila to the Buddhists. Within the formal atmosphere of the event, the Buddhists wished that they will concentrate on studying and ensure the sila and vinaya, in order to increase their blessed reward and wishes for the   wanderers in all visaya will soon know about the happiness and peace of Buddhism.

 During 3 days and 2 nights, the Buddhists practiced the below courses:

-         4:30: Morning ritual. 100 bows to Buddha and meditation.

-         8:30: study the basic doctrines such as: The Four Noble Truths, The Eightfold Path.

-         14:30: Ksitigarbha Sutra pray.

-         19:15: Sukhavati course.

Beside the Four dignities of walking standing sitting and lie, Vegetarian  Eating, Out-Dining, the Buddhists should  always practice rightfulness and awareness.
