The ceremony of bath the Buddha in the Lumbini gardens of Buddhist houses in Thai Binh province

The Buddha bath’s ceremony is one of popular rites of the yearly great ceremony of the Buddha birthday belonging to many different Buddhism traditions. This one is performed by the way of pouring scent water on the new - born Buddha statue. Besides this commemoration, it gets deep significance for erasering defilement and leading purity three karma of its thought, speech and body.

In harmony with the spirit “all houses greeting the Buddha’s Birthday, all people welcoming this event” Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh at Cao Mai hamlet, Quang Hung commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province came to Buddhist houses to organize the bath rite of Buddha statue at Lumbini gardens on the evening of May 29th, 2018 (lunar April 15th, dog year). Beginning of lunar April, it is instructed and taught by the Junior Abbot Ven., all Buddhists should do things of hanging flags, banners, building of Lumbini gardens very expression, so that everyone could know to the Birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha. It’s known that the Lumbini gardens have been kept for six years since the Junior Ven. advises and encourages Buddhists who should establish the alter of taking a bath for the Buddha at their own families.
