The ceremony of refuging on the Three Jewels at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

Being born as a human being is difficult, meeting a Buddha Dharma is even more difficult, having good conditions of cultivating studying with a gentle teacher and good friends are the most difficult. So if there are enough conditions, why don't we go back to rely on the Three Jewels, vow to take refuge to become a child of the Buddha.

Aiming to create a cultivating belief for Buddhists, Dong Cao pagoda at Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province solemnly held the ceremony transferring Three refuge – Five Precepts to Buddhist good men and Buddhist believing women at near and far vowing to rely on the Three Jewels, becoming disciples of the Buddha on March 17th, 2019 (lunar Feb. 12th, the year of the pig),

After going on a walking meditation in the morning, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, the abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, guided the basics for newcomers to study the Buddha teachings. During the sharing session, He explained to the mass  how about the Buddha's life, what is refuge on the Three Jewels, why should ones rely on the Three Jewels. After that, the masses practiced the rite of releasing creatures.

Beginning is meditative sitting time in the afternoon. At 14h 00', the mass invited venerable monks at pagoda who will transfer Three refuge and Five precepts. After the Venerable Abbot lit incense to  offer to the Buddha, Buddhists had a speech wish them to be received the precepts transferred by the venerable monks. Because Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City is reading sutra in a quiet room, unable to be directly present to transmit the precepts, as well as the Master’s permission, Junior Ven. instructed ritual sections  to the mass  and the all to be transferred five precepts by the Master with the clip taught from his retreat. After that, the Abbot Ven. guided the masses to read the Sutra of Noble Eight-fold Path to create good conditions and to guide the necessary dignities when coming the temple for those who became Buddhists. At the end of transferring the Three refuge, on behalf of the Organizers Ven. sent dharma gifts and the message of refuge to the Buddhists.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Youth Club of Dong Cao Pagoda had a regular meeting and re-elected the Management Board under the witness of the Junior Ven.
