The Ceremony of taking the Triratna at Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa Province

Taking to the Triratna is the Buddhists' first step because it is the most precious help refuge in world. Human in life usually hope for their fortune, children, husband or wife, etc, because these are not durable and they could leave us any time, or it will last only to the end time of its living existence. After passing away, each person will follow their own karmas. The states of love emotions, property, money, gold, etc, which we could not bring with us. Meanwhile, taking the Triratna’s refuge is to return the truth, goodness, and beauty which will bring happiness and peace in this life and next lives.
The ceremony began with the rite offering to the Buddha at 9 A.M. The monks interpreted detail about five precepts of a lay man. Moreover, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh had some words encouraged to the mass as well as mentioned the responsibilities of a home-living Buddhist. All of them extremely concentrated on this because they understood the ceremony’s significance for listeners who want to become a sincere Buddhist. It is difficult to meet a good Master who was instructing their cultivation. To the section of precepts transferring, all attendees kneed down and clasped their hands together, headed to Triratna and vowed that all their life would take the refuge on the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, as well as received five precepts by the Senior transferred.
