The comfortable retreat at Tieu Dao pagoda - Quang Ninh

Junior Ven. Thich Tam Tinh - Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province, the abbot of Tieu Dao pagoda, had a Dharma talk with the theme Establishing A Altar The Buddha And Its Requesting. Junior Ven. explained to Buddhists surrounding the following factors:
1. It must be the person who took Three Refuge and Five Precepts and the one officially became a Buddhist, not just having each "mind".
2. That person who should study Dharma, understand doctrine. Especially this one have to understand the life of the Buddha (the Buddha that we want to worship). We could not feel to like and worship, on contrary, we will lower down the statue or Buddha image and don't worship anymore.
3. There must be agreement and acceptance with family members. Although worshiping Buddha is very good, but family sentiment is better. The living of lay people should take care feelings of husband, wife and the members, so Vietnamese proverb said "When the wife and husband agree together with a heart, East Sea will be drained its water by them". Avoiding the reality when not worshiping the Buddha, the family gets along well, when the Buddha is worshiped, the family cannot live well anymore, leading to failure.
4. The space to worship Buddha must have a separate, airy, high and solemn place of worship, etc.
5. Worship the Buddha is with the aim to positively change three karma (body, speech, mind), relying on Him to progress to deliverance. We could not to worship Buddha just to beg, thinking Buddha is like a god of blessing and disaster.
At his preaching's end, he hoped Buddhists would try to follow the above-mentioned provisions, depending on each real situation then applying.
At the completion of the question and answer session, the mass started the prostration rite for the Buddhas' name repentance.
