The Crape Myrtle bush

The Crape Myrtle bush

The Crape Myrtle bush in front of the pagoda yard is now beginning to bloom. Last year at this time, the tree was already showing off its colorful shades to welcome me to Ha Tinh. Perhaps this year's weather is also difficult to please people because the sun and rain suddenly come and go quickly. It makes people restless and uncomfortable, and their temperaments change with each cold wind and each scorching sun. Some people fall ill. Also, some people enjoy experiencing new things. In addition, some people are sad because their peanuts and sweet potato crops fail.

As for me, I feel that the world is immersed in gains and losses, wins and losses, loves and hates,… making them sad, happy, and miserable. In fact, I learn to be like the Crape Myrtle bush “change myself, not wanting the whole world to change for me”. Learning to accept and then transform yourself to suit the circumstances, environment, and society is a solid foundation for laying the bricks to build happiness for yourself.

Sadness, joy, anger, love, hate, gain and loss will all pass. If it passes too slowly, remember that a day only has 24 hours and one life to live. Live meaningfully, don't waste your youth.

In life, enjoy the Dharma and follow your fate

Being hungry, you should eat; when tired, you should sleep

There is treasure in the house, stop searching

Do not let the mind be polluted by worldly things, but still maintain purity and clarity.”
