The first ordination ceremony in 2018

This morning, April 25th, 2018 (March 10th Lunar Calendar), in the solemn atmosphere at chanting hall, five men had received the ordination given by Hoang Phap’s monks.

Degrading physical form for virtuous keep

Leaving from family and relative love

Being monk for Dharma spreading

And the sake of all beings.

Born in the human form is hard, seeing the Buddha’s teaching is harder, but being the monk or nun is the most difficult. Caused by good merit accumulating from the past, the five laymen right now enough condition to be the Buddha’s son in the monk form, have chance to see Dharma, to be ordained by the wise Master, shaving hair and throwing themselves into learning and cultivating Buddhist tenet, for the last aim of liberation from all defilements and the sake of all living beings.

Ater the worshiping rite and praying for the Triratna’s proof, the Bhikkhu according to the ordinating principles, accepted them to be the novice-monks. With the high joyful, the five novice-monks paid homage to the Triratna. Some emotional tears came out at that moment from the participants in the chanting hall.

One by one, their hair leaving from head symbolized the removing of defilements. This makes the most sacred moment that hard to forget, the point they officially become the sangha’s members.  The song “Bye you, mom, I’m leaving” was sung push all emotion to the top, they now are the novice-monks officially. Dharma names were given to them by Ven. Abbot and some advice on the conduct keeping to remind them the role of the human and deva’s model.

 The ceremony finished with the exceedingly great joy of people. Leaving all behind they take a vow to keep a celibate life for moral cultivating and got over a lot of hindrances. Wish their aspiration become true to repay all the gratitude from the parent, master and all who always have faith in them and support them.
