The Five-Day Cultivation Course at Dong Cao Pagoda – Thanh Hoa

Although the material facilities of the pagoda are still difficult, with Buddhist’s desire to cultivate and the acceptance of local government, Bodhi mandala at Dong Cao pagoda, Nga Yen Village, Nga Son District, Thanh Hoa Province overcame all difficulties to organize the first Five-Day Cultivation Course. On April 5th – 9th, 2017 (March 9th – 13th Rooster Year), over 100 Buddhists came to attend the course. After the evening of April 4th, 2017 for registration, the mass entered the cultivation course with new things of first appearance at Thanh Hoa Province under instruction of Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung.
 

The Five-Day Cultivation Course at Dong Cao Pagoda – Thanh Hoa

 

In the morning of Aril 5th 2017 (March 9th Rooster Year), Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung – Chief of Organization Board told the purpose, significance of the Five-Day Cultivation Course and necessary regulation for the course in order that people could practice lifestyle of pagoda to cut down fate and gave whole mind to cultivation. Then The Junior Venerable instructed the mass necessary solemnity of Buddhist and helped the mass know the solemnity clearly. Next, they entered reciting Buddha’s name in the morning and evening, the sutra of Eight things of goodness.

In the morning of April 6th2017 (March 3thRooster Year), Junior Venerable Thich Tam Dao – Vice Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda – Ho Chi Minh city came and sent to all Buddhists a Dharma talk on the topic “The Meaning of Cultivation”. By simple and honest words, The Junior Venerable helped the mass to know clearly about cultivation and apply to daily cultivation.

In the morning of April 7th 2017 (March 11th Rooster Year). Junior Venerable Thich Tam Kinh – the Abbot of Tay Khanh pagoda, Thai Binh Province sent to the mass the Dharma “What is the Cultivation?” After two hours with simple words and fable stories, the Junior Venerable caused the mass to understand that cultivation is change in body and mind and correction mistakes,…In order that our daily word, action, thinking are more pure to be a true Buddhist.

In the morning of April 8-9th2017 (March 12-13thRooster Year) after lectures of previous days, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Dai – the Abbot of Lam Phat pagoda, Lam Dong province sent all Buddhists practical and close Dharmas on the topic “ It’s hard to be born as man” and “Hired Cultivation” to advise Buddhists who attend the course should treasure cultivation times. Hence we experience happiness and peace when we exist in life and make nice life.

In the evening of April 9th2017 (March 13thRooster Year), after reciting Buddha’s name, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung shared difficulties and achievements of this first Five-Day Cultivation Course at Dong Cao pagoda and listened suggestions from Buddhists for the better course in the next time.

At the end of the course, the Organization Board gave Dharma gifts to all Buddhists and see all the second cultivation course on July (July 25 – 29th Rooster Year).
