The great ceremony of the Buddha’s birthday at Tay Khanh pagoda in Thai Binh province

The Buddha’s Birthday is the important event of human, is joyful of all Buddha’s children of the globe. Tay Khanh pagoda at Cao Mai hamlet, Quang Hung commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province formallly organized the great ceremony of the Buddha’s birthday on the morning of May 27th, 2018 (lunar Apr. 13th, dog year) with over 500 Buddhism followers at the inside and outside provinces.

“How happy the Buddha was born

How happy His wisdom conduct is

How happy the Sangha’s harmony is

How happy the mass’s cultivation is”

(Dhammapada 194)

Before the ceremony, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh, Abbot of Tay Khanh pagoda shortly preached for the significance of birthday the Buddha and His history, so that the mass could think and practice following the Buddha’s conduct. Therefore, they will gain peacefulness at present. Next, it is the rite of offering incenses and taking a bath for the Buddha.

“I offer water of bath for the Buddha

My percept shows solemn and pureness

Defilement ending vows to cut from  now

Going together to end of the enlightenment path”

How happy the Buddh’s birthday is! The Buddha was born being happiness. Vow of the shine is bright on over the globe from His compassion and wisdom, so that people could meet together, understander and love better; all hatred and keeping ego will eraser, the human life will be joyful and happy.

In the evening of the same day, Tay Khanh pagoda combined the Buddhism director board in Kien Xuong district, pagodas around and crowed Buddhists organized the parade of flower carriage and performed of singing to welcome the Buddha' birthday.
