In a solemn atmosphere filled with the taste of belief, Bao Quang Pagoda in Dong Nai Province solemnly celebrated the Ullambana Great Ceremony 2025, Buddhist Calendar 2569 of Aug. 31st, 2025.

On the afternoon of Saturday of Aug. 30th, 2025, temple monks expressed their gratitude to the holy spirits, generously giving alms to all living beings, and offering alms to the spirits at the temple in a pure, compassionate, and solemn atmosphere.

With the monks’ witness, the whole ashram together harmonized with the sound of bells, wooden fish, and Ullambana sutra to spread gratitude and filial piety. This opportunity, Buddhists everywhere will commemorate the deep gratitude to their parents for many generations, ancestors, and offer their minds to the Triple Gem, vowing to practice good deeds to dedicate merit.

The ceremony was witnessed and given dharma words by Junior Thich Tam Trong, Abbot of Nhat Phap. He emphasized the Ullambana sacred meaning - the season of filial piety, arousing in Buddhists the gratitude, repaying, as well as encouraging Buddhists to diligently practice, taking filial piety as the foundation for all meritorious deeds.

Finishing in a joyful atmosphere, the ceremony was filled with gratitude and happiness. The spirit of Ullambana is eternal filial piety, which will be a bright torch and guide all Buddhists on their journey of studying and practicing the Dharma.
